Staying hot with central heater

Staying hot in the wintertime is important for comfort and health.

Here are some tips for keeping your apartment warm: Insulate your home: Insulation helps to keep the heat inside your home.

Make sure your apartment is always insulated, especially in areas like the roof, walls, and windows, but seal windows and doors: Check for air leaks around windows and doors and seal them with caulk or weather stripping to prevent freezing air from entering your home. Use curtains: Heavy curtains or drapes can help to retain heat inside your home. Another way to keep hot at apartment is heating from either central Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C systems or from portable units. My associate and I prefer to keep the apartment a bit cooler during the night when we are sleeping so that we avoid high power bills. Using a fireplace to heat the apartment is a nice method for keeping warm, however if you don’t have wood at your disposal then it may be strenuous and you may need to run your electric furnace or gas heater. Ideally, keep the temp in the apartment under 71F to avoid monstrous energy costs and try to wear more clothing during the winter season when in the home. Some people prefer to use radiant floors to keep their feet warm, however also wearing thick wool socks will help keep your feet hot while saving you money. Regardless of how you heat your apartment or stay hot during the winter, always be aware of the temp in the apartment and keep the smart temperature control set to 71F or less to keep the bills to a minimum. Good luck!
