I grew up in a home with an abusive dad.
I know that I got pretty lucky because I only had to deal with him for 10 years of my life before he was out of the picture.
My mom, on the other hand, was married to him for about 25 years. Throughout that time he controlled nearly every aspect of her life. He determined where she was allowed to work, how she was allowed to dress, & who she was allowed to neighbor with. With all of that in mind, I have tried to be the exact opposite kind of hubby to my wifey. I never forquote her from doing a single thing, however I know some of her social associations are not great for us. In particular, her best neighbor is a genuinely downside influence when it comes to our energy bills & family finances. I’m sure that her neighbor has no idea how much she impacts our daily utilities, heating & cooling service costs, & indoor air quality overall. She genuinely doesn’t understand how influential she is when she discusses her professional heating & cooling service appointments. However, I can tell you that her reliance on the central heating & cooling service shop down the street has genuinely rubbed off on my wifey & created problems. It seems like my wifey’s best neighbor is consistently having her indoor air handling devices evaluated & substituted. As a result, my wifey tends to call our heating & cooling corporation way too often. I cannot stop my wifey from interacting with her best friend… But I wish she would take the Heating & A/C serviceman off her speed dial.
