You really have to be careful with your teenagers.

Unfortunately, all of those hormonal changes amount to a lot of indoor environment changes as well. As soon as my daughter hit the age of 10 years old we were constantly flooded with the smells of her nasty perfumes wafting from her bedroom. We had to install an advanced air purification system just to get her noxious chemicals out of our breathing air. My son isn’t much better with his effects on our indoor air quality and environment overall. Unfortunately, he is a very active young man. This means he is a particularly sweaty and smelly young man. To make matters more complicated, my son is very sensitive when it comes to mention of his sweat stains and body odor. We can’t say anything about his horrible stink when he gets home from basketball practice without having a major tantrum take place. Because he spends so much time in his room with his noxious body odors, the entire second floor smells awful. I can’t ever seem to get the airborne contaminants and bacteria filtered out of our indoor air before they are circulating through the central heating and cooling system. Then, the entire house is effectively inoculated with the airborne contaminants from his armpits. I know better than to mention his body odors or the effects on our air quality. Instead, I just went out and bought another air purification device – it’s time to take care of my son’s stinky phase.
