I live in a large metropolitan city.
It is a huge city filled with millions of people.
As you can probably imagine, the city is very busy because of the large population. This means that traffic is constantly heavy. Many people opt for public transportation to avoid street traffic. However, this causes public transportation to be packed and crammed. I usually take the train to and from work, so I run into crammed trains all the time. Other than the obvious physical discomfort from being in a tight space with so many people, the temperature conditions within the trains are another source of discomfort. The trains get so hot because of body heat. The old trains don’t have any source of cool air, so those trains become unbearably hot. Nothing is worse than being pressed up against someone while sweating from the high temperatures. The newer trains have very strong cooling systems, so those trains can handle the body heat much better. I don’t usually experience too much discomfort temperature wise when I am riding in new trains. The engineers that designed the new trains clearly knew what they were doing when designing these trains. If I ever ride on an empty train, I always notice that they are very cool because of these cooling units. It almost feels like I am in the luxury of my apartment with the air conditioning unit blasted to full speed. I am so thankful that the city came out with these new trains and decided to invest in cooling systems within the trains. It makes the commutes so much easier.
