I have been hearing about a big hurricane coming into the area sometime soon.
Luckily, I live far enough that my specific area is not going to be affected too much.
The most that I am going to have to worry about it getting a little wet from the rain when going to my car. The people in the highly affected area are going to have a lot of damage. The only thing I could think about is these homes and HVAC systems. Homes are really expensive to own and being comfortable in them costs a lot of money as well. If these people’s homes are destroyed how will they afford to buy a new one or be able to put in an HVAC system. These people live in a place that is very warm almost all year round. They use air conditioning a lot. I could never imagine living here and not having air conditioning. I know I should be thinking about more but I will feel bad when it is all out of there control. I also started to wonder if HVAC businesses see more business when hurricanes come through. These places have so much damage to buildings and HVAC systems especially for outdoor units. They could get blown away and completely destroyed. After the storm is over I am sure people travel back to their homes and then have to get comfortable again but how do they do this without air conditioning. I hope I personally never have to know in my life at any point and time.
