When I checked the mail last week, I found that I had been summoned to jury duty.
I have never received such mail, so I was shocked and confused.
When I looked at the date of the jury duty, I was even more confused. How did I get jury duty on my own birthday!? I read further and realized that I would have to be downtown at 8 am on a Monday. I knew this would be a long day so I began to think about what I would wear to it. I figured that it would probably be cold in a courtroom. I had never been to one of these before, but something about a government building makes me think that I was going to be cold at some point during the day. As I prepared for my day of service to my civil duty, I forgot to pack a sweater. I was so upset when I realized that I would be sitting in on the jury all day. I searched my car for a sweater but had no luck. As I sat there shivering, I regret staying up so late. The A/C was blowing right on my head but it seemed like it was like that everywhere in the building, so I was not too upset. I was just so cold! Next time, I will remember to bring my sweater if I ever find myself in a government building again. The A/C works very well in government buildings.
