Every Christmas my family & I like to give back while in the holiday season.
My pal and I are blessed & fortunate to have a roof over our heads, & have a nice overheated meal every day. However about twenty minutes away from where we live there is a community in our city that is not as fortunate. You can find people who can’t afford food, clothes & even heat while in the coldest of afternoons. Therefore every Christmas time while in the winter we will supply non-perishable foods to a family who is in need. My pal and I acquire a list from our church & the families from our church sign up & pick a family to give non-perishable goods or services too. Well the one family that we chose this year we bought at least three months worth of goods. When we showed up they invited us in so we could drop off the boxes of food. When we walked inside the air smelt musty & actually cold. You could tell that there was no Heating & Air Conditioning system. The owner made a comment that he apologized for how freezing his home was however he did not have a furnace. My pal and I told the owner that we had an electric portable furnace that he could keep. He was actually thrilled & overjoyed about the items we gave him. Since the portable electric furnace only covers about 30 square feet of one’s home we decided to purchase another one so it could cover more surface part in his home. My family & I believe that no one should go without heat while in the winter time. So we decided that we were going to raise cash so the owner could purchase a new Heating & Air Conditioning system.
