There are some days where I am so lazy I do not want to get out of bed and go to work! Just yesterday that was the case for me. But now that I’m older I am diagnosing myself that I am just not a morning person. To wake myself up and feel energized I will take a shower, make myself a cup of coffee and drink it before I leave and make myself another cup of coffee for the road. As long as I take my shower and drink my coffee in the morning I’m good to take on whatever work wants to throw at me. However when I got to work yesterday I could not stop coughing and sneezing! I thought that I was coming down with an instant cold but it turns out that our HVAC system’s air filter needed to be replaced. Shortly after I arrived at work I received a phone call from my boss stating that if a man comes into the office that I shouldn’t be alarmed because the man would be an HVAC technician. The HVAC technician would be replacing our old air filter. Once the HVAC technician left and replaced the dirty air filter, I asked if I could see it. He pulled it out of the trash and showed me the caked, dirty air filter. I thanked him and said that he came just in time as right when I walked into work I began sneezing. The HVAC technician told me that dirty air filters will do that to our upper respiratory system if it’s not maintained properly.
