I love grocery shopping.
It is one of my favorite parts of the week.
My city has a great little store that offers the freshest fruits and vegetables. They also have the largest variety of grocery items. To top it all off, they have a great prepared foods section where you can buy everything from pizza to italian cuisine. I always go shopping around dinner time and finish my trip off with a visit to the prepared foods section. Their foods are so yummy! I take my time during this shopping trip because the grocery store is my happy place. The only part of shopping that I don’t enjoy is the temperature fluctuations. Going from the aisles of cereal products to the frozen food section is like a temperature shock to my body. I am always freezing when I walk through that section! I know that the section is supposed to keep foods frozen, but it’s not supposed to keep the people that walk through it frozen too! I do not understand why the thermostat is set so low. I always run through this section into the comfortable temperatures of other sections, like the bakery. The warmth that I experience when I leave that section is so welcome. Getting through that discomfort is the only part of shopping that I do not particularly enjoy. Everything else is always enjoyable for me. After selecting my frozen foods, I reward myself with a delicious hot meal from the prepared foods section. It is the only thing that helps me push through that frozen section!
