Noticing a gap in the front door that makes my loft chilly in the winter season time

As I was kneeling in my loft the other afternoon, I observed a bug on the wall.

I didn’t think much of it since bugs can be found almost somewhere.

I find one sometimes. This time, I kept on finding them and they were not good looking bugs. I was wondering where they were coming from. I looked all around. While looking around the apartment, I realized why my loft gets to be so chilly in the winter season time. There is a part of the door that is not fully insulated. There is a space or a gap between the door and the frame that I can see right outside. I was not going to have that this winter. I called my Heating plus A/C specialist as soon as I saw this. I do not want my loft to be super chilly this winter, having that gap is not good for the Heating plus A/C system either. It will cause the system to work extra hard to hot the loft that doesn’t even get that hot to begin with. The Heating plus A/C system could breakdown and then I would be left with no heat at all. Then, extra chilly air would be filling the loft anyway from the gap. The Heating plus A/C specialist told me that they could try to insulate it with spray foam. If that was not going to work for the gap I would have to call someone to update the door and the frame. I would do whatever it took to protect my Heating plus A/C system and my loft from getting too chilly this winter.
