This past sunday my family and I went to church.
Basically we go to church every sunday to worship our higher being.
My family and I figured that today would be one of the most busiest days at church. The reason for this was that it was Christmas day. When we got there we saw our normal church fellow church goers but at least a quarter of the other people that we saw weren’t. I feel like at every church there’s always that group of people who only go to church on big holidays. Right when we pulled up to the church parking lot we realized that church was going to be packed! Once we got into church we could see that a normal church service crowd was at least triple of how it normally is. Another thing that I noticed was the temperature of the place! It was so hot in the church that it felt so humid with everyone’s body temperatures. I was very surprised that the church did not turn down the furnace. I could see some of the elderly couples fanning themselves with the church’s Christmas pamphlet to stay cool. It was like my dad could read my mind so he went to the pastor’s wife and she kindly got up, went to the thermostat in the lobby of the church and turned the thermostat down a few degrees. I was told by my parents that by turning down the thermostat this will prevent the furnace to turning on as much. My parents like to keep their thermostat low to save money and energy with our HVAC system.
